Sticking Together Or Falling Apart: Solidarity in an Era of Individualization and Globalization

This volume examines the impact of globalization and individualization on social solidarity, in both a theoretical and empirical context, focusing on types of informal solidarity, such as volunteering, charitable giving, and care, as well as more formal types, such as government benefits and developmental aid.
